Life is a journey!! There are times on this journey that we call life that we walk through the issues that come our way and there are other times when we run, as fast as we can, just trying to get to the other side of the situation.

There are moments when we need to rest. Whatever the situation we must remember that the Lord is with us, He is for us, He loves us.

David put it this way:

Psalm 23:1

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

David knew exactly what it meant to have a shepherd care for you. David was a shepherd in his youth. He knew everything involved with the care of the flock. The shepherd’s job was to feed, direct, care for and protect the sheep.

David had an understanding about the Lord that you and I so need to have in this day and time that we live.

Knowing the He (Jehovah Jireh), the Lord your provider is taking care of you. He has got this, whatever it is you and I need to learn not to stress over it and trust Him with it.

1 Peter 5:7 says “casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”

His caring means more than He only has a special feeling for you as in caring about you. It means that you are in His care, that He is the one responsible for your wellbeing.

Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

Life’s paths can be difficult but your Shepherd is tending to you. He knows what you need, He knows what’s ahead…..trust Him, you shall not want.

The word “want” in Strong’s concordance means – to lack, need, be lacking, decrease……

With Jesus as our shepherd, we shall not lack, need or decrease…. He cares for you!!He is your shepherd; you belong to Him. Trust Him with your life. He has got this!!!
